Kudremukh is located in chikkamagaluru district in the state of Karnataka, India and the name kudremukh hill station means horse face and the rocky mountain from the top look like horse face and the place is located near the majestic Western Ghats and this place is popular for bio diversity conservation and the place is also referred as “Samseparvata” and the place is famous for iron ore and it is famously called as iron town in the Karnataka state.

The lakya dam is constructed by Kudremukh iron ore company and this is named as lakya dam and the dam height is nearly 100 m and the dam is constructed for the main mission is to collect the waste materials from the operations of mining and it is the dam which is not filled with water and one can view the picturesque hilly terrains on the back drop of the dam and the dam is surrounded by beautiful scenic spots and various picturesque locations which are very beautiful locations visited in this place.

Kudremukh National Park:
Kudremukh national park is located in the Western Ghats and the national park is located in the wet forest which is the main attraction in this place and the forest department declared this place as wild life protected area and this national park is developed after the report of environmentalist Dr. Ullas karnth and in the year 1987 the park was generally formed in the reserved forests in kudremukh and one can view the mammals and rare species of various items can found in this park and according to wild life one can view the leopard, predator species, wild dogs, tigers and also one can view the wild pig sambar, and languor and lion tailed macaque are found in this place.
