Tirupati is holy place located in the chittoor district in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. The city is surrounded by seven hills known as “yedukondalu”. According to the history the Tirupati was under the rule of vijayanagara rulers. The history mainly documented to the vijayanagara emperor named as Sri Krishnadevaraya was the important in the temple history. In 1517 during the rule of krishnadevaraya he offered special pujas regularly. He largely contributed for the development of temple such as donating jewels and gold to the god. He also ordered to do gold plating for the temple roof. The various Indian rulers have been gifted many items to the god. The rulers of cholas during 10th century also the rulers of pallavas during 9th century have been contributed a lot for the development of temple. During the end of 18th century the trust has formed for the temple with many members directed by the chairman. The trust formed when Tirupati is in the rule of madras presidency. After independence the govt of India declared as Tirupati is part of Telugu people state known as Andhra Pradesh. The purpose of TTD is that should conduct every program to god also it is responsible to all activities conducted in the temple. Every day the devotees visit large number as they maintain queue form such. Devotees wait 2 days in a queue for the worship and blessings of lord venkateshwara.

According to the history the temple was developed by the various rulers of India. Especially the ruler sri krishnadevaraya largely contributed for the development of temple. During Sri Krishnadevaraya rule the diamonds are sold in the city streets for cheaper prices. He proposed many constructions for the development of the temple. During his rule the roof is gold plated known as “vimanam”. The temple represents the extraordinary Hindu architecture. The temple architecture represents the extraordinary Dravidian architecture. On the top of temple on can view the different sculptures which are in different variations.

Sri Venkateshwara Temple:
The temple is located on the 7th hill of yedukondalu. The temple spreads an area of 2.2 acres. The main deity inside the temple is Lord Venkateshwara. The idol of the lord is installed under the gold gilded dome known as ananda nilaya divay vimana. Devotees in this place believe that lord is in swayambhoo idol is like black stone structure. Regularly or during festival seasons the deity is ornamented by precious stones. Devotees face many difficulties for reaching the temple to worship also for the blessings of lord venkateshwara. The devotees should travel by 4,000 steps it takes 4 hours for completing the steps to reach the temple. Foreigners or other religious people can visit the temple but they should sign in the papers for belief in Hindu culture and tradition. The devotees give large funds for the development of temple. The funds include money or other ornaments for the lord venkateshwara. The temple board TTD conducts special programs during festival seasons known as brahmotsavam is celebrated during the September to October as nine day festival. The brahmosavam include special religious practical parties which perform special programs with different decorated persons are major attractions in this place. Brahmotsavam include special offerings to the lord such as Chinna sesha vahanam, hamsa vahanam, simha vahanam, Muthyala Pallaki vahanam, kalpa vruksha vahanam, sarva bhoopala vahanam, mohini avatharam, garuda vahanam, Hanumantha vahanam, Swarna rathotsavam, surya prabha vahanam, Chandra prabha vahanam, Rathostavam, Aswa vahanam, Chakra snanam, dwajaavarohanam.
Other major attractions include silathoranam, swami Pushkarini Lake, TTD gardens, akasaganga teertham, asthana mandapam, papvinasam teertham, Sri Annapurna sameta kasi viswara swami temple, Sri Bedi anjaneya swami temple, Sri Kalyana Venkateswara swami temple, Sri Kapileswara swami temple, Sri Varahaswami temple etc.

The TTD provides accommodation facility such as food for the every devotee who visits the temple. The TTD conducts 24 hours anna Dana with the famous Andhra veg cuisine in a very large hall.
